The Knights of Grey are an informal Kinship made up primarily of a group of friends that have known each other through a progression of MMORPG games, some of us going as far back as Asheron's Call, in 1998. As we've moved from game to game, we've added new friends, and lost old ones, but the core of the Kinship is very similar to what it was back in the AC days.

We've gone by a few names, and had different "leaders" from game to game. Our original WoW presence was under the name "The Grey Company," which eventually mutated to the "Knights of Grey" after a reorganisation of the WoW version of the Kinship.

When LOTRO launched, a fair number of us migrated here, and those left behind reverted the "The Grey Company" with their own website. We still have many friends in the WoW world, any TGC members are more then welcome to look us up in LOTRO.

Currently, the Knights of Grey are active on the Gladden server of LOTRO. I've discovered at least one other kinship using "KOG" as a moniker, on another server. They are *not* associated with us - I haven't been too impressed with posts I've seen from their members. :)

KoG will never be the biggest kinship in the game, nor the best Raid kinship. We won't be singled out as greats amongst the PvMP crowd (in fact, some of us are violently opposed to any form of pvp in the game). What we are is a tightly knit group of friends, and that's where our strength lies. We have a deep knowledge of the game, and we are active in all aspects, but we're not so driven to raid for that one last item, or get our Pvp Rank to max. We're here to have fun with our friends, and to perhaps meet new friends. If this sounds like a group you might enjoy being a part of, feel free to contact any of us in game, and group up with us for a few adventures.

KoG Focus
The main focus of the Knights of Grey is to enjoy LOTRO in the spirit in which the game is intended. While we choose not to focus on "end-game," raiding, PvMP, or "power gaming, many of our members partake in, and excel at, those aspects of the game. KoG is a very casual-friendly Kinship.

KoG Membership
Since the Knights of Grey are a Kinship of friends, and since we've spanned multiple games, we ask potential new members to post an introduction note to our "Kinship Application" forum. Once you've done that, you should expect to get in-game invitations to come out and adventure with some of us. Once we've had time to get to know you, our officers will decide on whether or not to extend an invitation to join the Kinship. This allows us to maintain the group as a tight knit group of friends, rather then a sprawling kinship where most people don't know each other.
